A Thousand Apologies For The Delays

I know, I know! We're late!

Shit's been kinda hectic and I guess I'm gonna be flying solo for a while. I filmed Episode Four (with special guest hosts Sean Gabay and Andy Shworles) on a different camera than we normal use. The shoot turned out great BUT this camera had a drawback. The files go into the computer as QuickTime MOV files, which, if you're a computer geek you'll know, can't be directly edited. So I've been scrambling all over trying to find a free program to convert them to .avi files so I can edit them. I downloaded what seems to be an awesome program but since I don't have it registered, it will only convert the first 5 minutes. So I've finally decided after all this tomfoolery to just buck up and pay to register the program. I figure it'll be used every week so it won't go to waste. Or at least til I get a new camera to do the show with.

So, Episode Four WILL be released (though all the news info is kinda old) for nostalgic purposes. We'll be filming Ep. 5 this weekend and I will have the program all ready to go so I can edit it and have it up Monday. So next Monday, two episodes will be posted here. Episode Four (which contains a couple-weeks-old news, but you still might find it entertaining) and Episode Five (which will be considered the current episode). Then after that, expect a new episode every Monday like old times.

Unfortunately, the people running the Fangoria convention wouldn't give us press clearance for interviews (probably because they think we're gonna make fun of some of the stars)(....). I'm gonna try some strategery (SNL reference) and hopefully finagle ourselves some interviews. Nevertheless, I'll still be there Saturday, so come say hi if you see me.

So! Looking forward to this Monday. Hopefully you're doing fine shaking off the aftermath of Civil War.

Love, peace and Nintendo Wii,
Dave Losso

Episode 2 In The Can.

Episode 2 has been filmed and is in "Post Production", (sorry needed to sound a tab bit professional.) and it was fun as hell to film. Doing this feels very natural, and I'm sure all of us who have been involved will agree. So we're gonna just see where this crazy show takes us and hopefully you, the viewer are somewhat entertained and get what were doing. More To Come! Thanks For Reading!

Episode One

Here it is, finally, in all its glory: Episode One of the Dave Nation podcast. Just to remind you, the first episode was not filmed, it's only audio. So to help you visual learners out there, we placed in an image of the greatest sandwich ever: the combo. Hopefully it will make you hungry and wanting to support Portillo's. Anywho, this is the Pilot Episode if you will. It features guest commentary from the Habschmidt brothers as well as Sean Gabay. We hit on such topics as Independence Day, how gay anime is, PornoPogs, two awesome comic books (Astonishing X-Men and Cross Bronx), "The Good Shepherd", and much much more. So here it is, enjoy.

We finished filming episode two tonight so expect it up on the interweb next week. It's straight from Dave Scheidt's bathroom and features a review of Civil War #6 and Punisher War Journal #2, as well as Dave Losso's first installment of "Shitty Movies You Have To See" in which he reviews the classic 80s TV movie "Brotherhood Of Justice" featuring Keaneau Reeves and Kiefer Sutherland. Until next time,

Episode 2 On It's Way..

So where almost at the end of the week, and we'll hopefully be hard at work this weekend filming the first ever videocast of The Dave Nation. You can hopefully expect a better arranged and proper format, but we're still completely new to this so perfection isn't entirely expected. We have many cool and various plans to add more to our show then just us rambling on about how awesome 'Independence Day' was. Expect Skits, On Location Interviews, Short Films, and anything we can conj our up and film.

idea's, suggestions insults are more then welcome.

p.s. while your waiting check out some horribly made short 'films' by myself dave scheidt.

Welcome To The Wonderful World Of Dave.

So the 'Pilot' episode is done, we recorded in the quiet cold comfort of my basement. What started as a funny little idea that almost certainly could have never come to surface, has been completed in all it's glory. The quality isn't so good, the format not so unique yet in the simplest of forms, I can safely say it puts a smile on the face's off both me and dave.

So lets have a little background on the two of us.

The setting is none other then Mt.Greenwood elementary. After a good amount of years being the only dave in the class, (there were a few ocassions yet I was pretty much the orignal dave) a new kid arrived in school, his name? Dave.

I hated the kid.

Why? His name was dave.

Flash forward to a single moment that earned my respect. He had a comic book in front of him.

The Rest is History.

Me and Dave are in the purest sense, kindred spirits. In a non-sexual and creepy way. Indeed it's pretty difficult but we both share the same goal. To Talk About Movie's and Video Games And Beards and Charles Bronson.

and anything we can, without boring ourselves and hopefully, you the potential listener/viewer.

Welcome to the Dave Nation.
Sincerely,
Dave Scheidt.
